COVID-19: Doku group donates D5000, 24 t-shirts to Kembujeh ward

Doku Group, a construction company in the West Coast Region (WCR) presented a cheque amounting to D5000 and 24-t-shirts to the Ward Councilor of Kembujeh Ward to assist the local authorities in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The entity’s CEO, Galo Saidy made the handing over to Alieu K. Darboe, councikllor of Kembujeh Ward at his office.
He said supporting people in these trying times is essential which warrants his company’s decision.
“My company is a small one trying to catch up, but that would not stop us from sharing the little with our fellow countrymen and women,” he said.
Saidy added that working with grassroots politicians during such a difficult period is their priority.
For his part, Councillor Alieu K Darboe hailed the humanitarian donation from the group. He said his office made a request and the company has responded within 48 hours which speaks volume.
“I am very grateful to the CEO and his staff for their support, trust and confidence bestowed on me,” he stated.
Darboe assured that the money and the t-shirts will judiciously reach the community.
The donation also includes hand washing gallons and detergents to enable people keeping to the advice of basic health rules.
