Information minister urges coalition stakeholders to settle the dust

Ebrima Sillah, Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure has urged the coalition 2016 stakeholder to settle the dust on issues surrounding the mandate of President Adama Barrow.
Sillah who was speaking during an interview at West Coast Radio’s Coffee Time show with Peter Gomez together with the government spokesperson said the three years issue has sparked lots of paradoxes, ranging from differing views from various party heads.
In the minister’s own words: “Halifa Sallah said two things, one he said the constitution provides five years, but there can also be an opportunity for a sitting President to say yes am resigning, and then mechanism could be put in place and fresh elections are organize. Ousainou on the other hand, when he was in government he said whoever wants to challenge the President bent on the constitutional term of five years, he would personally take that matter to court.”
He stated that the differing opinions of political leaders over the three years transition and five years constitutional mandate have divided the country.
