Ninety-one migrants including women and a minor enter Italy last night

A total 91 migrants have last night entered Lampedusa one of the Pelagie Islands, in the Mediterranean Sea, southern Italy.

The Coast Guard patrol boat intercepted another 60 migrants, including a minor about 14 miles from Lampedusa.

However, the Port Authority intercepted first group, consisting of 31 people believed to be from Sub-Saharan Africa. They were blocked 18 miles from the coast.

A source in Italy said they went through a medical check up and their transfer to Imbriacola, near Lampedusa, east of Rabbit Island district has been arranged.

The Migrants, according to Grandangolo Agrigento, an online news site of Agrigento province on the southern coast of Sicily, the migrants were traveling on a 5-meter wooden boat left adrift with five women a minor.
