Lamarana Jallow, native of Makumbaya, Kombo North, West Coast Region has told the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparation Commission (TRRC) that she was captured at the market by the ‘witch doctors’ and green boys who were armed with knives when she was selling.

She said the “witch doctors” were dressed in red clothes with mirrors, horn and jujus all over their bodies who force her to board the bus and went with them.

“When I was abducted my children were crying and I was taken to where the bus was parked at Makumbaya and later I was taken to Kololi,” explained the witness.

She said when they arrived at Kololi they were given food and asked to hand over their properties to them and she gave them D2500 dalasi which she never got back.

She explained how she was also taken inside a room and given a concoction to drink which eventually made her unconscious.

“And then they asked me to undress myself and wash my body with the concoction. I told them if you want to see an elderly person naked then do it. Then they poured the water on my body and my properties they collect from me were never given back,” said Lamarana.

The witness said when she returned home people were looking and telling her:  “Witch you have come back,” adding that she responded by telling them: “Yes am back and if you don’t behave I will eat you all because I have been given more power.”
